How I want to make an Impact

As someone from a communication background, I find sustainable development to be intertwined with development communication. I have come to recognise communication as vital for all kinds of development, especially human development. A bottom-up approach focusing on stakeholder participation in implementing any type of development project carries strong incentive for engagement, mobilisation and participation which ultimately enables real impact and sustainable results. I believe my competence and appreciation for the communication aspect of sustainable development will be a valuable asset. As Head of External Media Publicity for Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA), I endeavour to push the agenda of sustainable development in my capacity as a communicator.

Short biography
I am passionate about sustainable development and improving quality of life by promoting access to inclusive education which can equip people with the tools required to develop innovative solutions to the worlds greatest problems. I have one year of experience in the non-profit. I earned a Bachelor’s of Mass Communication from the University of Zambia where I am also working as a Media and Communication Studies Tutor. I am currently serving as Zambia's Global Ambassador for The Better Tomorrow Movement - an international youth organization that provides free interactive training programs that help young people create, execute, and scale impactful social projects, globally.
