Ellen Barnie Peprah is an early career medical doctor with research interests in Adolescent/Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health, Maternal Health and NCDs.
She envisions an Africa where every child has the opportunity to live and is safe from preventable death, where adolescents are free to request reproductive healthcare in hospitals without fear of prejudice and, research breaks the ground for novel technology to allow easy access to healthcare for hard-to-reach communities. Grand as these dreams may be, she believes that with effective youth engagement, skills development and determination, Africa will see these become a reality.
She’s a Millennium Fellow, Class of 2019 for her Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Advocacy Project, 2020 Blog4Dev winner for Ghana for her advocacy blog on ending child marriage in Ghana and a member of the Youth Transforming Africa community , which seeks to amplify youth initiatives in Africa.
