I am a Youth Activist, Peace-building Mentor, Projects Coordinator, Freelance Journalist, Gender Advocate, Activist - MEPI Alumni - Erasmus Alumni. I am an exceptionally motivated and enthusiastic leadership professional, with several years’ experience in project management for Youth Empowerment and human rights;

As a Co-Founder and President of We Are the Change Initiative (WACI), which is a community organization and was established in 2010, and though the capacities of the initiative are limited, together with the young volunteer team, began to develop small community projects and to enhance its development work, WACI has implemented several project on Youth Empowerment for Peacebuilding in Yemen such as "The Future Map Project" which was granted by the University of Delaware, USA . These projects promote a more inclusive and sustainable peace process in Yemen by empowering women and raising awareness of their rights, enhancing their political agency and highlighting the value of community activism.

As the Project Coordinator for Youth Empowerment at Yemen Polling Center which based in Sana'a, Yemen, the project I am working on aims at the integration of youth into the policy debate, both on the local and the national levels. and help contribute to the improving of the protection and promotion of peace into the policy making process in Yemen, thereby making the Yemeni government and the international community more responsive to the needs of the youth. I have managed Youth Lobby group project which aims to empower youth on the community level and to involve them in the national and international policy dialogue in  and help contribute to the improving of the protection and promotion of peace into the policy making process in Yemen, thereby making the Yemeni government and the international community more responsive to the needs of the youth.

As a Peace-building Mentor, I work on maintain relationships with organizations and individuals seeking enhancing the peace-building knowledge and skills, I also co-work on gender project and building youth capacities for peace with partner organizations such as Saferworld.  I have worked on Saferworld project with youth-led organizations in Taiz, Aden, Hodeidah, Mukalla and Sana’a to support young activists in their peacebuilding work by supporting local groups and organisations in their development, peacebuilding training, and creating opportunities to meet and build bridges across conflict divides

As a Gender Advocate, I work on gathering information and content material regarding the subject topic, such as (Peace, Gender, youth Empowerment, democratic participation, and human rights) since 2010. I have published several articles, reports and investigative journalism by using multi-social media tools

On February 2012, I received president’s Award for Youth by the Yemeni president Hadi at Office of the Presidency.

Short biography
I am Abdulwahab Ghazi, a Projects Coordinator at at Yemen Polling Center (YPC ), Freelance Journalist, Youth Activist and a Project Manager at We Are the Change Initiative (WACI). I am an exceptionally motivated and enthusiastic leadership professional, with several years’ experience in project management for Youth Empowerment. I am a self-motivated and resourceful project coordinator with an in depth understanding of all aspects of project coordination and implementation.

As a Freelance Journalist, I have been gathering information and content material regarding the subject topic, such as (Press freedom, renewable energy, democratic participation, and human rights) since 2010, and I have been writing and publishing investigative journalism by using multi-social media tools.

I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Public Relations, and one full academic year of Service Management at Lund University, Sweden. In addition, I am well trained on special courses relevant to Leadership and Project Management at international institutes such as Roger Williams University, USA and World Intellectual Property Organization, Switzerland.


I have a long standing interest in Youth Empowerment , and I have been a long term advocate of local and international conservation programs. I would therefore welcome the opportunity to work for an organization such as YouthLead! And help contribute to the improving of the protection and promotion of Youth Empowerment into the policy making process in Yemen.
