My work in the youth development space, with specific focus on creating projects that assist teenagers with career and life path identification makes me a change maker in my community in the city of Abuja Nigeria. Over the years, I have been able to successfully help over 500 teenagers with personality identification, career and life path identification in addition to mental health first aid support for them. Presently, my team and I are on a project to set up safe spaces for young people to interact with strategic content for continuous development and self-discovery.
In recognition of my work, I was awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leader, a 6-week US based immersive leadership development fellowship sponsored by the US State Department.
I recently got back from Malawi on a funded trip to execute a leadership and personality development workshop project for select young leaders in the capital city of Lilongwe.
Based on the above, I am certain that joining will provide me with a platform to contribute my experience to the robust pool of young changemakers, in addition to serving as a learning platform for me to learn from other young changemakers.
