To use my knowledge and experience in Public Policy, Politics and Governance in order to change the mindsets of the Youth in Kenya, and Africa Region towards inclusive and meaningful participation in various processes including but not limited to ethical electioneering, non-violent techniques of holding leaders accountable as well as encouraging ethical use of social media for information sharing and dissemination to fight hate speech and propaganda.
To use my Interfaith and Inter-cultural dialogue advocacy and experience in order to transform the minds of the religious youth, one at a time, towards embracing religious tolerance and shunning violent extremism.
To utilize my social media profiles as campaign tools for championing Peace and Environmental Stewardship, and to generate and share knowledge on a consistent basis on these issues, especially their negative impacts to the lives of young people, and what role we can all play to mitigate them.

| Reply to Message | Hi Philbert, Have you heard about YouthLead’s new #WatchOurImpact Campaign? I am an intern working with YouthLead this summer and I wanted to personally reach out to you about the contest because I think you would be a perfect candidate to submit an entry given your involvement in your community and passion for making the world a better place! The #WatchOurImpact Campaign, launched on June 7 in partnership with GenU and USAID, aims to showcase the power of youth to impact change in their communities. Entering the campaign entails submitting an original, three-minute video or slideshow in Arabic, English, French, or Spanish that tells the story of your actions to advance local, national, or global development. The story you tell can be personal, that of a group of young changemakers, or that of a youth-led organization. Entering is super easy — here’s how: 1. Create a three-minute video or slideshow that meets the contest requirements. 2. Upload your video or slideshow to YouTube. 3. Fill out the submission form. You must be a member of YouthLead.org to submit, but registration is free. 4. Encourage your friends and network to vote for your submission on social media by sharing the link once it’s posted on the #WatchOurImpact Contest Video Gallery page and by using #WatchOurImpact. Here are some how-to videos and examples to get you started. What might you want to highlight? Have you helped promote mask wearing and social distancing in your community during the pandemic? Have you developed an after school program for young people? Have you started a small business? These are just a few examples to get you started, but there are countless others to choose from. What do you want to showcase from the important work you’ve been doing? The work you’ve done in your community deserves to be highlighted. Please consider entering the #WatchOurImpact Campaign to show the world how you have made a difference! Submissions will be accepted until July 23. If you have any questions or concerns about the Campaign or how to enter, do not hesitate to reach out. I would be more than happy to help!
Sincerely, Miriam |

| Reply to Message | Greetings Edna, It's good to have you join the Youthlead Platform. I'm thrilled to see you here too and thanks for following me. I have followed you right back as this is the simplest way of forming networks herein. I do hope you will enjoy your experience in this platform. A quick word of introduction, the more active you are on the platform, posting discussions and commenting on them, adding any resources or articles that you find informative and so on, the more you learn the platform and earn badges. Each comment, event, resource, scholarship or fellowship that you share shall surely earn you points.
We also have created a WhatsApp group for Kenyans on the Youth;ead platform. Let me know should you be interested so I add you there. We are planning to hop t a webinar very soon just to orient members who are still finding their ways around the platform. Im sure this could be helpful to you too. Do let me know.
Lastly, as you may be aware that we are completing our Ambassadorship Roles at the end of this June, 2020, there will be a new call for Cohort 3 of Youthlead Ambassadors. Please look forward to that and when the call is made, submit a formidable case. You could just happen to be the next Youthlead Ambassador. The benefits, I'd rather not mention. You'll find out for yourself. I shall add you as my invited member, but also invite more of your friends to join in. Regards; Philbert Aganyo - Youthlead Ambassador (Kenya) |
