The Women in Aid & Development Mentoring Program is designed to provide support and encouragement to women working in the sector or planning to work in the sector. It was developed to meet the most common requests of women in the sector.
Mentoring is a process through an experienced individual offers professional expertise to help a less experienced colleague to develop goals and skills through a series of time-limited, confidential, one-on-one conversations and other learning activities.
The intent of mentoring is to shape a career that shows promise. For mentees it is an opportunity to learn from experienced and knowledgeable people who have walked in the same shoes and who offer guidance to the next generation of leaders and innovators.
Our mentoring program open to Women in Aid & Development Members working in the aid, development and humanitarian sectors, studying a recognised international development course in Australia or wanting to move from a NFP or corporate role into the sector.
