Social entrepreneurship, unlike traditional entrepreneurship, is an alternative to addressing social needs and challenges, and has gained momentum in solving today’s growing challenges. A social enterprise is an organization whose mission combines revenue growth and profitmaking with the need to respect and support its environment and stakeholder network (Deloite Insight 2018). The concept of social entrepreneurship is often utilized by businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups to develop and launch solutions that address specific social, cultural, and environmental concerns. In this webinar, our YouthLead Ambassador Ilyas Muhammad from Pakistan will share his learnings on how young changemakers can start their own social ventures/enterprises to counter both economic and social challenges, and explore various funding opportunities, from fellowships, grant competitions, crowdsourcing, to securing government funding.
