UNICEF has launched a new online campaign in Indonesia calling on young people to share the challenges they face and what they are doing to help their friends, family and community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With support from USAID, the COVID19Diaries Challenge invites youth across Indonesia to post their experiences on their social media channels in the form of videos, photos, images, drawings or stories about how COVID-19 is impacting their daily lives and the steps they are taking to protect themselves and their families.
By using the hashtags #Covid19Diaries and #UreportCovid19, participants can join this weekly challenge, and submissions will be featured on UNICEF’s digital social media platforms and campaign webpage https://www.unicef.org/indonesia/coronavirus/covid-19-diaries. The campaign also asks participants to nominate a friend to take part in the campaign to help create a network of peer-to-peer solidarity.
“In these challenging times, millions of young people find themselves adjusting to a new normal as they remain confined in their homes away from friends and peers,” said UNICEF Representative Debora Comini. “With this digital campaign, we are hoping to bring young people together while they are physically distancing so they can help each other navigate their experiences.”
