Tips for Virtual Learning
Some classes at UW–Madison will be held virtually, but that doesn’t mean we’re changing the high academic expectations we hold for students. It just means we’ll be learning, innovating, and collaborating in new ways. Here are some resources and concrete strategies to set yourself up for success.
Locate the tools you need to access your courses remotely. Familiarize yourself with Canvas and Blackboard Collaborate, and make sure you can access these resources on your laptop, tablet, or desktop computer.
- Watch for information from your instructor on how the course will be delivered.
- Internet bandwidth issues? DoIT has shared tips for how to manage slower internet speed and low bandwidth. Contact your instructor as soon as possible if bandwidth is restricting your access to course materials and class participation.
