Here, we present information about a well-respected performing arts organization committed to improving the lives of children in their country. For 32 years, the theatremakers of Wan Smolbag have been using the power of theatre to make education more accessible. The organization started when a ragtag group of actors came together to make theatre about their countries most pressing issues: improving sanitary conditions, promoting environmental sustainability, and expanding access to medical information. They work primarily with schools, putting on shows to educate young people as to how they can improve their communities in a number of sectors. Wan Smolbag's work in small Vanautai towns and schools has been so successful, they've started to partner with Oxfam, UNICEF, Australia, and New Zealand to spread their work across the South Pacific.
