This report focuses on youth from Nordic countries as they take action for sustainability, while also demanding more action from politicians and decision-makers.

The report finds that Nordic youth are very concerned with sustainability, but find it hard to adopt sustainable practices because of lack of regulation and sustainable products. Nonetheless, several youths have reported that they started making small steps in hopes of having a large impact. After exploring some of the challenges, the Nordic youths also posed some recommendations to other young people. Their first recommendation is, to have hope and a positive approach. They also recommend taking small steps and gradually adopting a more sustainable lifestyle. For example, start by sorting waste, and then move on to starting a blog on sustainability.

One of the report participants said, “It’s obvious that young people have to be  the ones to drive the systemic changes, because we can put pressure on the current system.”
