Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon is an initiative by UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) that gives youth and youth organizations around the world an opportunity to engage in the creation of innovative media and information literacy learning in meaningful ways.

The Hackathon will be held during Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2021.

UNESCO is inviting youth from local schools, universities, youth centers, and youth organizations, as well as youth leaders from around the globe, to participate by inscribing their teams in the competition. The winning teams and the outcome of the Hackathon will be presented during the Global Media and Information Literacy Week Youth Agenda Forum on 27 October 2021.
