The mEducation Alliance has pulled together a dynamic consortia of globally recognized math organizations and champions to advance a series of activities under the banner of Math Power! The Power of Math in Everyday Life.

The goal of Math Power! is to inspire kids, particularly those in developing countries and out-of-school because of COVID-19, to joyfully engage with math via low cost tech and non-tech interventions. Math Power! is intended as a fun and provocative way to showcase global efforts, celebrate the efforts of local math champions, catalyze new activities to reach learners and to share the love of math as something which should be entertaining and meaningful regardless of the circumstances

Math Power! supports a range of tech and non-tech math interventions including:

  • Global and Regional Virtual Math Fairs (Rolling presentation proposal deadlines)
  • Math Game Catalog
  • Math Power! Game App + Dissemination Platform
  • Math Power! Game Kits, Youth Game Ambassadors and Math Clubs
  • Matchmaking/Networking Math Power! Events

Most importantly, we want this initiative to inspire and nurture kids to love math, but also ensure that Math Power! activities advance identified learning goals.
