This year the African Union Youth Division launched Project 1 million by 2021, which is aimed at reaching a million youth on the continent in education, entrepreneurship, employment and interestingly, engagement! An exciting scale-able and measurable project with commitments from a number of organisations including Facebook and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Kholekhile Mnisi from the Youth Division interviewed Dr Shakira Choonara who is a special appointment to the African Union (AU), also a YouthLead Ambassador not just on the project but her inspiring story, her passion and her advice to youth from a leadership angle!
