Watch the Webinar here on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/youthleadglobal/ OR on youtube
recorded on Thursday, July 25, 2019
Watch the YouthLead Ambassadors share their passions, experiences, and lessons learned as young changemakers about Mental Health.
One in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives. Around 450 million people currently suffer from such conditions, placing mental disorders among the leading causes of ill-health and disability worldwide. Stigma, discrimination and neglect prevent care and treatment from reaching people with mental disorders, says the World Health Organization (WHO).
This webinar discusses the concept of mental health mainstreaming; explain the motivators and barriers which young people experience in seeking mental health support. The Ambassadors will share their experiences and strategies, as well as challenges they faced in developing an integrated mental health service and offer recommendations on how young changemakers can tackle or design community-based mental health services/programs.
