"Founded in 1988 by Artistic Director Marcy Arlin, Immigrants' Theatre Project (ITP) is a tax-exempt non-profit professional theater organization based in New York City. ITP presents traditional and experimental plays by and about immigrants to the United States and worldwide. It works with multicultural casts and artistic staff to reflect the diversity of the U.S. and introduce immigrants and American audiences to challenging theater works. ITP strives to give a public theatrical voice to those who are marginalized, to promote the genre of Immigrant Theatre as a valid American theater form, and to be an artistic model for intercultural relations."
