How to Make a Slideshow for Free

1. Compile images and draft a storyboard of your slideshow story.

The first step is to know what story you would like to tell. After all, the story is the most important aspect of storytelling! Make sure you have the rights to all photos and any music you use.

2. Create a new project with your preferred slideshow maker.

You can find a list of applications here: https://www.guru99.com/free-slideshow-maker.html

3. Add your media.

Upload your selected images, icons, music, or text. We recommend showing images for a minimum of 5 seconds to represent your message visually.

4. Start building your slideshow.

This is the fun part where you can organize your media to tell your story. Decide if you will include animation, transitions, or other visual elements.

5. Add text or voice over.

Adding on-screen text or a voice over to your slideshow enhances your messaging. You can use the slideshow’s programmed text tools or record your audio on a phone or computer.

6. Add non-copyrighted music.

If you have access to copyright-free music, including it in your slideshow could help make it more engaging.

7. Download and publish.

Save your slideshow directly to your device as a mp4 or similar format. Post the slideshow on YouTube, or a similar platform, before entering it into the contest on YouthLead.org.
