There are a limited number of funding options available for executive education participants. It is the responsibility of each participant to secure funding for their tuition and travel.

Funding Options

EMPLOYEE SPONSORED

Attendance to an executive program can be supported by the participant's organization. We encourage you to check with your employer to determine eligibility.

SELF-FUNDED

Participants may personally pay for an executive program.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

HKS provides a limited amount of tuition assistance, which may partially fund the program fee. To be considered for tuition assistance, please notify the program director after being admitted to a program.

FELLOWSHIPS

HKS works with various organizations to offer fellowships to certain programs. Please check the program webpages to see if fellowship opportunities are available. An application is usually required.

OUTSIDE SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS

Financial assistance for training is often available from outside organizations. Inquiries should be made directly to these organizations. HKS does not facilitate this process.

FUNDING FOR U.S. SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS

If you're eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit, you should enter "Post-9/11 GI Bill" in the application under the "Who will be the financial sponsor of your participation?" question. Upon receipt of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE), the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Finance Office will determine whether your benefits may be applied to our Executive Education programs.
Please Note: GI benefits may only be applied to tuition and curricular materials. The participant is responsible for the remaining program fee which includes housing and meals.
Please note that the following program is not approved for VA benefits – Leading in Artificial Intelligence: Exploring Technology and Policy.
