The office of education in the Mexican state of Coahuila offers these five short plays to help English learners practice the language. The plays are directed at young children between the ages of 5 and 7. Of course, these plays could be helpful to anyone who is just starting out learning English. The plays are presented in the form of a curriculum: they match a time of year and grow in complexity as time progresses. We recommend this resource for young changemakers who would like to educate their community, build English literacy in young people, and create fun experiences for children.
There are five plays in this resource, and they are presented in the following order: The Happy Snake; A Day for Snow; Loretta, the Ladybug; The Cute, Little, Lost, Baby Fish; A Gift for Mama
This resource also contains many pages about how teachers can use theatre as a teaching tool and how students can learn from the performing arts.
