1. Take a break from social media

This one almost sounds impossible, right?

I mean, I spent my entire day on Twitter, tweeting and retweeting people’s tweets. We just can’t take our fingers off the bird app.

We want an escape from the real world; things that take our minds off the real struggles. Social media provides just that.

We can scroll through pictures and throw shades at strangers who we may never meet. But, is this healthy?

Studies have shown that excessive use of social media hurts your mental health.

While you may feel motivated by looking at Kylie Jenner’s social media account, some other people experience depressive symptoms and change in self-esteem. At the end of it all, most people become addicted, scrolling, and scrolling all day.

Just stop.

You can dedicate an hour at the end of the day or whenever you’re on break. You do more damage when you spend all day on it.

P.S Any form of addiction is unhealthy.

2. Spend time with friends that keep you going

Do you prefer to stay alone?

You put your phone on airplane mode so no one can reach you. Or if they try to reach you, you just turn down the volume and place your phone face-down on the bed.

Do you try to push everyone away?

Being a lone-ranger isn’t so bad, but it isn’t healthy when you take it to the extreme.

Healthy friends are important for great mental health. Hanging around people who treat you well will not only improve your self-confidence but also reduce anxiety and stress.

Why sit all day thinking about life when you can laugh with friends and have healthy discussions that might just change your perspective about life.

Never outgrow good friends. You shine best when you’re surrounded by good people.

3. Let go of toxic relationships

Block! Block!

Unfollow them on social media and just keep that toxicity away before it seeps right through you. Haha!

If you have friends who constantly treat you as if you’re underserving of love, push them away.

You deserve peace.

You don’t need friends who look down on you or frown whenever you succeed at anything. No one should remain with people who make them feel like they will amount to nothing.

Don’t take any bad attitude from so-called friends.

Remember, you’re in this world to live your life. Don’t live on anyone’s terms. If you’re not on the same frequency, there’s no harm in going to positive people that will encourage your growth.
