TITLE -Promoting Quality Education for Girls in Uganda
Challenge
In Uganda, girls' access to basic education especially in rural districts has remained low due to poverty, economic issues, early marriage, teenage pregnancy, inadequate school infrastructure, cultural & religious misinterpretation are the main issues that prevent girls from going to school. Most schools are not friendly for girls & a lot of girls drop out before reaching class six. Many parents, especially in large families with limited resources, enroll their boys in school rather than girls.
Solution
The main goal of this project is to eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary education. The project will achieve this through improving the quality of life of girls in Rural areas by a collaborative approach to girls' education by provision of scholastic materials and school fees, provide games and sports kits to help improve the learning environment, & increase public campaigns aimed at parents and community leaders to help get more girls in school life.
