TITLE -Feeding Role
When women decide to play the feeding role; by harvesting and winnowing beans, at Ajejeri ward in Maiduguri Borno state. Agriculture in Borno state, Nigeria is the most important sector of the economy from the standpoint of rural employment; the government of Nigeria usually allocates some amount of money to agricultural development yearly. Agriculture was the major source of employment, foreign income, and has been feeding about 70% of the citizens. This was done to encourage new farms and protect existing agricultural businesses seeking an agricultural loan.
The Boko Haram insurgency has led to massive displacement and high levels of food insecurity in northeast Nigeria. Already poor and vulnerable host communities have absorbed large numbers of people fleeing violence, placing considerable pressure on fragile agricultural and pastoral livelihoods, while the insecurity has severely disrupted markets and food availability. Change requires a gradual process; it doesn’t happen in a day because there are people who will resist change, so therefore as a changemaker you need to be patient and strong minded in order to drive home your point. You have to create a positive attitude or mindset, depending on where you intend to create the change, be it in a society or in an individual.
