Stump Out Stigma (SOS) Walk is an Initiative of Ambitious Girls 254 to mainly spread the destigmatisation of HIV/AIDS patients to the residents of Nairobi and its environs. To all who care about people living positively with the virus across this big city, do we target with this uniquely packaged method of preaching against stigmatization of HIV/AIDS patients.
After carefully thinking through some of the most efficient ways of being actively involved in spreading the message of destigmatisation in the city and other counties in Kenya, Ambitious Girls 254 came up with this initiative as one of the most efficient means through which to involve friends, family and well wishers in this active way of reaching the populace with HIV/AIDS Destigmatisation Awareness.
Without the fear of disrespecting other people’s beliefs and stance on HIV Virus, The SoS walkathon is largely considered to be the “entering wedge”, a means through which the message is impressed upon the populace towards a stigma free society. Once people understand what HIV/AIDS is all about it therefore becomes easy for other aspects of the virus to be imparted to the target audience.
