PROJECT BYB=X was borne out of the desire to create and develop a program that would be a slight deviation from a purely academic exercise to the participants, but will nonetheless add to their academic experience at the end of the day. Based on that, the project catered to a total number of 30 senior secondary school students drawn from different schools in Abuja Nigeria. This was chiefly because of our understanding of the importance of the grade in determining the next steps for the students. The project was structured to follow the experiential learning model, which essentially provides experiences for the students while they are in the process of learning. During the session, the students each had their uniquely generated personality profile reports, an 11-page document detailing their unique behavior, areas of potential development, strengths, possible career paths and best work environments for their unique personalities, as well as color coded cards. At the end of the project, we paired attendees with mentors for continuous development.
