Health Access Initiative Malawi is a non-profit organization that works to provide access to health information and services using various means of technology and through medical outreach campaigns. Malawians have challenges in accessing basic health information and services. Malawi has a rapidly growing population with limited number of health workers and slow development of infrastructure to support equity of access to health information and services. Consequently, the high mortality and morbidity of some preventable and treatable health conditions due to the widening the access gap. This platform has been established to address this issue in an effort to contribute to Universal Health Coverage. Generation of health education messages which are entertaining, interactive, contextualized to the Malawian settings, in several local languages which are simple to understand using various platforms e.g. messages delivered through songs, traditional dances, plays, posters, social media campaigns, podcasts, radio shows, television shows, newspaper articles, hospital waiting room televisions etc. Also working to establish teleconsultation service platforms to allow real time patient consultations between health workers and patients to connect patients and health workers in rural health facilities with senior health workers in tertiary health facilities. It also allows for collaboration and serves as an implementation platform for various persons or organizations with innovative ideas or technologies to improve health service delivery to allow for generation, development or execution of the innovation from various stakeholders including patients, health workers, medical and nursing students, organizations etc.

WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU HAVE THAT YOUR PROJECT WORKS?
Post impact evaluation survey of one of the communities where we conducted a health education campaign showed that 65% of the community were misinformed and had no access to information, 80% wanted more opportunities to access information about their health, while 20% wanted disease screening services as well.
DO YOU HAVE CURRENT USERS OR TESTERS?
Yes we have collaborated with OCLIYA consultation group to facilitate an online health education seminar on contraceptive use among youth communities. We are working with Women's Telehealth to establish teleconsultation platforms to facilitate remote patient consultations to provide reproductive health services to women in hard to reach areas.
