In a bid to fight malnutrition among children in Kenya, Earth's Angels' Foundation aims to plant 10,000 moringa seedlings in schools, and community centers in informal settlements. The students are engaged in the planting of the seedlings. Here, they name the tree and take care of it while in school. Moringa is highly nutritious, very rich in healthy antioxidants and bioactive plant compounds. Also, it lowers cholesterol levels, hence lowering the risk of heart disease among children in target institutions. We begin harvesting of the leaves and twigs after six months. We process these leaves, seeds, and twigs to produce moringa powder. This powder is then donated back to schools where it is added to the school meals to boost the children's nourishment. The GreenLeaf Project aims at climate change mitigation by increasing the number of trees planted outside Kenya's forest reserves. Additionally, it fights malnutrition among children from impoverished households. We sell a portion of the processed moringa to sustain the project.
