Our major intervention strategy in curbing mental illness and its effects such as suicide in
Zimbabwean communities is aimed at increasing access to mental health services and
deconstructing the stigma and discrimination associated with being young person and a
consumer of mental health services. This project answers the question: How can we leverage mental health programs on digital media as a way to reduce
innate misunderstanding and stigma, in combination with Peer to Peer Mental health supporters
model in a bid of increasing access to mental health services?. Therefore, we provide positive parenting sessions and lessons to caregivers as a way of creating a supportive environment around young people.
