I see women on screen taking off their t-shirts, sleeping in wired bras
And I think of women in life crashing in tees, flinging away their bras.
I see the movie ladies swooning over rocks, letting out a scream
And I remember women who consider marriage an option, not a dream.
I see soaps cheer and jeer, rejoicing over "catfights"
And I thank every woman who has always housed my light.
I see all this and I wonder, who's coming up with these tales;
I see all this and I realise, we need to write them ourselves.
