My name is Mohammed Bayero Yayandi, I was born and brought up in Kaduna state Nigeria. I started advocating for SDGs which made me set out goals that I am passionate about and I started working towards achieving them. My passion for technology, good governance, youth development and community development led me to FollowTheMoney, Kaduna State Chapter as community champion/volunteer and Yali Network Kaduna Hub as a member. I am a member United Nation Major Group of Children and Youth (UNMGCY).
In 2019, I have worked with an organization whose aim is to reduce unemployment by organizing a yearly tech competition that will make youths build solutions and get funding to make their projects marketable using their tech skills.
I have volunteered in several projects which are strongly inline with the SDGs Goal 3,4,6,8,9 and 13.
I participated in the First Kaduna State 2 days SDGs Accelerators Summit,I was part of Youth for Gender Responsive public service delivery firsts and second workshop, I was part of the Organizers of the First YALI Network Kaduna SDGs Hangout, Volunteered for Follow The Money Campus Tour ABU, Zaria, Volunteered for Need Assessment Survey in Kajuru LGA, Volunteered for Training of School Based Management Committee (SBMC) Chairmen and Secretaries in Kudan LGA, Origanizer of the biggest Africa Tech Competition called “NaijaHacks”, Organizer of YALI SDGs Accelerator program, Organizer of Campus Outreach/ Sensitization on Budget, Public Finance and GRPS, and I was also featured on British Council Blog as Part of 75 most inspiring stories in Nigeria.
My passion and work for SDGs have brought lots of opportunities to me which make me a Global Citizen and a Change Maker
