Lubabalo is an anchor of hope and an inspiration. I am a young man who was hit by a taxi at the age of 10 and suffered a mild brain trauma. Despite adversities I face on a daily basis due to living with a disability , I go through life with a positive attitude and choose to change the lives of others.
An optimistic thought leader, influencer, motivational speaker, national development plan youth ambassador, entrepreneur and philanthropist who has 10 years’ experience as an IT expert and 7 years as a Toastmasters International award winning public speaker and leader.
I was appointed South Africa's NDP Youth Ambassador in September 2017, a role in which I champion the values of the NDP (National Development Plan) and the world's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). This was a turning point in my life that encouraged me to keep helping others and became a positive affirmation that disability is not a hindrance to being a change maker.
I have appeared on the South Africa’s Sabc 1’s Expression show where I spoke about my role as a Youth Ambassador https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGy8HZbl_LU&sns=em
I was unemployed for 2 years after completing my B Com IT Management bachelor's degree and this inspired me to start "The SA Mark" (www.thesamark.co.za), an initiative committed to helping alleviate poverty, support entrepreneurship, reduce crime, build unity, educate and entertain through arts and culture.
Amongst my many accolades, I possess a South African NYDA 1st runner up Youth Award in the Extraordinary Champions Category, a Culture Ambassador and Service Excellence Award from Transnet, a National President’s Prize for Perseverance and Douglas Bader Award for Courage from Queen’s College.
