This starter kit contains the 26 best resources on the YouthLead website related to youth in entrepreneurship. They are a great starting point for anyone who wants to learn more about the life of an entrepreneur and what starting a business requires.

These resources are useful to all young changemakers and groups with a desire to tackle social issues through innovative business. As a result, the kit is broken up by resources that are useful for current and aspiring entrepreneurs, institutions and policy makers and social entrepreneurs. Fellow YouthLead members also share their experiences through YouthLead Ambassador led Webinars, as well as their responses to the question "How can you transform your own local community through entrepreneurship?"

Getting Started with Social Entrepreneurship. Many people assume that providing services to advance the cause of “doing good” is restricted to the work of non-governmental organizations, charities and foundations. However, young people around the world are now advancing social causes through providing goods and services, known as “social enterprises.”

Leadership Development: Starter Kit

This kit contains 17 resources related to leadership development that can be found on the YouthLead website. These resources provide guidance to your development no matter the stage, from guidance to determining your leadership style to advice on how to delegate and develop new leaders in your organization. Some of the resources deal with the more theoretical aspects of leadership, while others provide practical tools to handle common problems all leaders face.

This online resource, provided by a YouthLead partner, has a significant number of resources that are useful for leadership development. The website includes chapters on all aspects of community development and leadership, as well as toolkits and activities to make the learning active. Though the entire website is useful, a good starting place is Toolkit 6 “Building Leadership.”

This kit contains the 17 best resources on the YouthLead website related to managing your organization’s finances. They are a great starting point for anyone who wants to learn more about budgeting and other forms of financial planning. These resources are useful to people working with or starting their own social enterprises and nonprofits. As a result, the kit is broken up by resources that are useful for nonprofits and social enterprises as well as listing some that are useful for all organizations.

These networking resources provide guidance on how to network at all stages of your professional development, as well as providing tips on how to think about networking in a remote workplace setting. In addition, this kit contains links to several youth innovation networks that changemakers can apply to be a part of. This kit is divided by the type of resource.

In this kit, you will find resources that help you choose the right fundraising strategy for your organization based on your resources and on the type of donor you are approaching, be it an individual, local government, national government, a for-profit company, or an NGO. The kit pays special attention to resources for crowdfunding, grant writing, and fundraising events, as well as how to thank donors for their contributions.

Leveraging New Technologies for Youth Social Entrepreneurship

There is enormous potential for both youth development and social good in the fusion of frontier technologies and social entrepreneurship. Young social entrepreneurs can use evolving technologies to address systemic social challenges — for example, facilitating access to educational and health services, supporting efforts to address complex problems arising from urbanization, or helping communities adapt to climate change — while also building critical ICT skills that will allow them to thrive in a digital world. Young people who have the opportunity to create their own employment while also tackling challenges faced by their communities can realize their full potential and become agents of sustainable development.
