Climate Change: Starter Kit
This kit contains the best 36 resources on the YouthLead website related to youth combating climate change. They are a great starting point for youth interested in learning more about the climate crisis and include ways to take meaningful action and steps to take for advocacy campaigns. As the climate crisis continues, youth action will be especially important in making a difference. This kit is broken down into sections on the nature of the climate crisis, what other youth are doing currently, ways of starting a climate advocacy campaign, webinars on climate, websites and organizations to learn more from, and how climate change intersects with other issues like marine life and agriculture.
Aiming Higher: Elevating Meaningful Youth Engagement for Climate Action
Building on the United Nation's Development Programme's (UNDP) work with young people and drawing off extensive consultations and interviews conducted on youth participation, this is UNDP’s new guidance note, titled Aiming Higher: Elevating Meaningful Youth Engagement for Climate Action.
This guidance was developed to ensure that young people are meaningfully engaged and empowered to participate in, and most importantly lead on, climate action. Targeting UNDP staff and the broader community of practice that works closely with youth, it illustrates the conceptual foundations of meaningful youth engagement, identifies successful approaches of participation from across the world, and provides recommendations to support meaningful youth engagement in climate action and in nationally determined contribution processes specifically.

Adapted from the Young Climate Activists in Latin American and the Caribbean toolkits, developed by young activists, young designers, and UNICEF experts, this Climate Action for Youth series will provide you with the knowledge, tools, and resources to participate in global youth climate action and advocate for change.
COURSE: The Climate Crisis: Addressing 5 Key Areas for Change
Young African Leaders Initiative Online Course (MOOC)
This course focuses on understanding five key areas of the climate crisis, with suggestions for achievable solutions, equitable goals, and entrepreneurial opportunities to mitigate and adapt to climate change and create resilient ways to meet the challenge. The course is presented by five experts in the areas of climate science, technology, and entrepreneurship.

In November of 2021, three youth colleagues spoke at Web Summit about their carbon capture project called Kaptis, which focuses on extracting carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converting it into graphene.
"The number one thing we do right now after capturing CO2 is burying it into the ground and that isn't efficient, because there is no economic incentive, so we wanted to use carbon instead as a resource. Currently, carbon is being turned into many different products; from diesel fuels to industrial materials such as concrete.
We thought outside the box a little and realized that there are methods being used to produce graphene, but our method uses light instead of heat (lowering energy requirements and cost of the conversion process). Based on our predictions, this catalysis can reduce the graphene manufacturing approach by thousands of dollars, saving more room to extract CO2 from the atmosphere and make use of it."
