How Can Girls Shape the Future? Strategies to Build Leadership in Girls’ Education

August 16, 2019 - This webinar hosted Teach For All to discuss issues and opportunities in girls’ education today. Participants learned about key areas for intervention around the world, as well as strategies and initiatives from the Teach For All network. Attendees will left with ideas for how they can take action in support of girls’ leadership and wellbeing in their communities, doing their part to ensure that all girls and boys grow up in a gender equitable world.

Youth Talks: Open Dialogue with Michael McCabe, USAID Youth Coordinator

August 13, 2019 - As part of International Youth Day Celebrations, YouthLead and YouthPower Learning hosted this 2-part webinar in both English and Spanish with USAID Youth Coordinator Michael McCabe. After a short introduction from Michael about the role of youth in transforming education, young people will had an opportunity to ask questions and engage Michael in an open dialogue.

Youth Action in Transforming Education and Achieving the SDGs

August 8, 2019 - This webinar had three young changemakers share how education has impacted them, and what they are doing as young changemakers in transforming education and achieving the SDGs in their various countries.

The Time is Now: Applying a Mental Health Lens to Youth-focused Programming

July 31, 2019 - This webinar hosted speakers from the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) and More to Life International, who discussed why mental health matters and provide resources that can help youth be actively engaged in addressing mental health within their communities.

Implementing Integrated Mental Health Youth Programs

July 25, 2019 - YouthLead Ambassadors discussed the concept of mental health mainstreaming and explained the motivators and barriers which young people experience in seeking mental health support. The Ambassadors shared their experiences and strategies, as well as challenges they faced in developing an integrated mental health service and offered recommendations on how young changemakers can tackle or design community-based mental health services/programs. 

Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset for Social Innovation

July 9, 2019 - YouthLead Ambassadors talked about how young changemakers can better understand the issues that affect their local communities and come up with innovative solutions to address them. They shared their experiences starting their own social ventures and compared different funding options.
