Get-Involved Akwa-Ibom Community Project is a project centred on adding value to Akwa-Ibom community.
Get-Involved project is simply a volunteering activity project that seeks to identify issues in the community that can be solved easily with little or no much resource. The project was led by Engr Dan Essien in conjunction with Comr Idongesit Micah , Special Adviser to the Governor on project monitoring.
So far since the launch of the project, Volunteers with by the leader on Project monitoring has been able to reach out to key projects that has once appeared as a neglect in the society.
Get Involved initiative in simple terms involves solving little issues in the community like involving in environmental sanitation, contributing to repair works in public facilities EG public water outlet damage repairs; creating public enlightenment on impending issues such as rape, child abuse, covid-19 pandemic etc.
We are a team of Akwa-Ibomites who believe in Value creation.
Currently we worked on sweeping, cleaning and removing refuse from Africa largest roundabout, and a market square in ibesikpo Nigeria. The project was completed on July 2020. The polluted environment in the market was solved and more people could sell in a clean environment.
Dan Essien through is connection with the government of akwa ibom state was able to get the government interest to install borehole in the community (as promised by idongesit Micah).
