There are confusions in every street corner and community, crimes and violence are becoming the order of the day in our beloved country, our prisoning compounds are over crewed, government uses more money to combat drug instead carry on other developments, because of the increase in the use of illicit drugs among young people today, respect is totally disappearing from our society, children are no longer afraid to argue with their parents or guardians, students see teachers as their enemies, young people are getting wayward and useless to the growth and development our country
The National Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign in a project that was launch on November 22, 2019 by Hope for Youth Liberia in order to help spread the awareness about the danger of drugs and subsistence abuse. This project is designed to educate young people about the effect of drug on their health, family, future, education, community and country. Our team will from time to time carry the awareness to schools communities and street corners We have discovered that the possibility of recovering from drug abuse is about twenty to thirty percent of hundred, based on this discovery the best method that is to be used so far in getting ray of the issue of drug abuse in our society is the preventive method. One of the ways to prevent it is to educate the younger generation by spreading the awareness on the danger of drug abuse. We used this method to promote peace during the bloody Liberian Civil War and we also use it to defeat the deathly Ebola Virus. I believed that by the intervention of the Most High God and with the collective effort of all Liberians, we can do it again to overcome this demonic drug abuse in our country.
