YouthLead Response to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic
In response to the challenges presented by the global pandemic, YouthLead is leveraging the power of its global network of young changemakers to share critical information and to channel their skills and leadership to help communities around the world get educated about how to stop the spread of the virus.
Today, the YouthLead platform represents nearly 6,500 young changemakers from over 180 countries & territories around the world. Using the energy, passion, and creativity of this community, we are gathering information, tools, and resources that can help young people to stay safe, healthy, and emotionally supported during the crisis.

All young people to commit one act of good between now and July 15 that combats the impact of COVID-19 on your community.

All youth-serving organizations to share one tool, resource, or action that young people can use to take action in their own communities to combat the impact of the COVID-19 virus.

“Acts of Good” shared with the YouthLead network between now and July 15 will be featured on our “Youth-led Acts of Good Page.”

A “You(th) #StoptheSpread” Call to Action: We are inviting all YouthLead members and other youth networks to join the call to action and help #StoptheSpread of COVID-19. We are mobilizing this campaign for our YouthLead network to help spread awareness among young people about the virus, such as regular handwashing, social distancing, and stopping the spread of misinformation.

A COVID-19 Information Page on YouthLead.org: The page includes an overview of information about the virus, best practices for staying healthy and helping to protect yourself and loved ones, and resources from expert organizations like the Center for Disease Control (CDC), The World Health Organization (WHO), and United Nations (UN). We will continue to update this page with resources for our global youth network as we learn more in the coming weeks and months. We invite you to visit the page here.

A COVID -19 Webinar: In April, YouthLead and the YouthPower Youth Engagement Community of Practice (CoP) will co-host a YouthLead webinar about the social and emotional impacts of the novel coronavirus, with a focus on vulnerable populations, and strategies and tools to help young people to feel connected and supported during this time.

- Visit the COVID-19 Information Page, and let our team know what kind of resources are most helpful to you.
